Spotlight on: Center for Hope of the Sierras

The residential program at Center for Hope of the Sierras offers intimate, intensive, and individualized treatment that marries the comfort of a home-like setting with exceptional clinical care. They provide treatment to males, females, and all genders ages 16 and above. The treatments provided at Center for Hope are highly individualized and specially catered to meet the specific needs of each client.

A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) are available in both Reno and Henderson, Nevada. They provide comprehensive eating disorder treatment for individuals age 14 and above who do not require the intensive support of a residential setting. PHP and IOP participants attend several hours of therapeutic services each day, but return to their homes in the evening. This balanced approach provides opportunities to practice healthy habits and coping skills under the guidance of our experienced staff. Apartments are available to adult clients who do not live locally.

Center for Hope’s potential clients may be transitioning from a higher level of care, or may require a step-up in care from community-based support. The goal is to empower each individual to return to independent living. Each person’s treatment plan is individualized to reflect their unique needs, and can address conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance abuse, and even health concerns like diabetes. The average length of stay in all levels of care at Center for Hope of the Sierras is 30 to 45 days. Some of the therapies offered include:
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
  • Family therapy
  • Group therapy (topics may include body image, processing, coping skills, etc.)
  • Experiential therapy (e.g. art, cooking, equine therapy)601
